Tales of Tolara
The Black Hills:
A province within Folly that is reviled and renowned for the mists that cover it, keeping the weather perpetually overcast and gloomy. As such the villagers that live there are usually quiet, gloomy, or downright mad.
Tomas’ Pass is the largest of the three villages in the Black Hills It has a population of around three hundred, the majority of them not native to Branchold. These are people who are merely seeking a more quiet life away from the commerce of the outside world without being cut off completely. Peddlers come through Tomas’ Pass more regularly due to the odd placement of an older trade road right down the middle of the town. This coincidence leads to many more taverns and inns in Tomas’ Pass than would be found in many of the other villages and towns in the area.
The town of Mistvale is very sleepy, nearly no one new comes into the village except every few years when a new hopeless person is thrown into the bunch. Located near a large lake, the town seems to be perpetually covered in a thin mist. This leads to a very chilly and depressing atmosphere. With a population of one hundred, the town does notice the sudden increase of suicides. However, most are too wrapped up in their own personal demons to care much.
